$423,000 Awarded to Passaic City Fire Department
In September 2007, the City of Passaic Fire Department was awarded $423,000 in grant funds from the federal Department of Homeland Security.
The grant funds will be used by the Fire Department to replace a 25 year-old ladder truck with a new state-of-the-art vehicle.
The new ladder truck will help ensure the safety of the City’s firefighters and increase their capacity to respond to emergencies.
The application was prepared by CGP&H, in collaboration with Passaic’s Fire Chief Pat Trentacost and other City staff.
The grant award is the largest the fire department has ever received, and is the second largest grant made in New Jersey this year.
