State Proposed Cuts to NJ’s Smallest Communities Prompts Immediate Action.
Consulting firm’s team up to provide municipal clients a broader services solution to fund and implement fact-based studies.
“CGP&H was recently contracted by the Burlington County Bridge Commission, which serves as the local Economic Development Authority, to draft a report on existing shared services, opportunities to expand such services, and the potential impacts of Governor Corzine's proposed municipal aid reductions would have on the county's 25 smallest (less than 10,000 residents) municipalities. The Governor proposes to cut municipal aid in half or all together for the State's smallest municipalities. The report was released last week during a press event in Mt. Holly, and provides to local elected officials and municipalities the opportunity to use facts and documented outcomes to counter the theoretical arguments which were put forward to justify the proposed reductions in aid.
In addition, CGP&H has developed a new partnership with Patriot Consulting, a local government operations consulting firm, which is headquartered in New Jersey. This partnership expands CGP&H’s capacity to provide clients with a unique platform of consulting tools needed to fund and implement shared services studies and implementation plans specifically.
